Equitable Cambodia is a national leader in advocating for the protection and defense of housing, land, and natural resource rights in Cambodia. The organization was established in 2012 to enhance and safeguard the rights of all Cambodians from a protracted land-grabbing crisis that has seen nearly 14 percent of the country’s land transferred from small-scale food producers and indigenous peoples into the hands of agro-industrial firms. These practices have left thousands of Cambodians displaced from their sources of economic livelihood and subject to human rights abuses.
