Indicus EA Ltd was formed in 2009 to take advantage of modern advances in the dairy technologies to increase the cattle productivity for farmers across Eastern Africa. Formerly named Super Sires Genetics Ltd, Indicus rebranded and underwent a name change in 2012 to represent best the core interest of the business that is to improve the cattle genetics in East Africa which are primarily the Bos Indicus Zebu Cattle. East Africa has one of the largest populations of cattle in the world where there is a ratio of 1 cow to every 2 people.
