Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida)
Established as a government agency under the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Sida is tasked with organizing a significant portion of Sweden's official development assistance. This assistance is primarily directed towards developing countries, with a focus on reducing poverty and promoting sustainable development in line with Sweden's global development policies. As of 2022, Sweden's official development assistance, overseen by Sida, amounted to approximately US$5.5 billion, representing 0.9% of the country's Gross National Income (GNI).
