YAKKUM Emergency Unit (YEU), a unit of YAKKUM, was established in 2001. YEU is focused on disaster response and disaster risk reduction activities. YEU has been assisting more than 150 villages in Indonesia, Timor Leste and Myanmar and is continually cooperating with a network of 350 organizations throughout Indonesia. YEU and YAKKUM are members of the Humanitarian Accountability Partnership (HAP), which aims to broaden the scope of humanitarian activities and ensure their sustainability and accountability.
